Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 August 2026
This policy explains how StudyVest handles personal information when people use the public website, submit forms, create accounts, purchase StudyVest Pro or use member features.
Information collected
- Account details such as name, email address, password hash, verification status and consent records.
- Subscription and transaction records such as plan, amount, payment reference, status and dates. Full card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by StudyVest.
- Learning records such as lesson progress, quiz attempts, journal entries and certificates.
- Newsletter, contact, partnership and waitlist information submitted by the user.
- Security and technical records needed to protect accounts, prevent abuse and diagnose errors.
Purposes
Information is used to create and secure accounts, deliver free and paid services, process and reconcile payments, issue gifts and certificates, save progress, send requested communications, respond to enquiries, maintain editorial systems, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.
Legal basis and consent
StudyVest processes information where it is necessary to provide a requested service, manage a contract, comply with law, protect legitimate operational interests or act on valid consent. Marketing consent can be withdrawn without closing the account.
Payment processing
Paystack may receive transaction and customer information required to process payments, subscriptions, refunds, fraud checks and disputes. Its handling of payment data is governed by its own terms and data-processing commitments. StudyVest stores transaction references and status information needed for access and support.
Hosting and service providers
Hosting, email, analytics or security providers may process limited information on StudyVest’s behalf. Providers should receive only the information required for their role and remain subject to appropriate contractual or legal obligations.
Retention
Account and learning records are kept while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward where required for support, security, accounting, disputes or law. Newsletter records are kept until unsubscribe or deletion, subject to a minimal suppression record where necessary to honour the request. Payment records may need longer retention for financial and legal purposes.
Security
StudyVest uses password hashing, secure sessions, CSRF protection, prepared database queries, access controls, rate limiting and activity records. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Users should use a unique password and report suspicious access promptly.
Children and young people
StudyVest publishes educational content for students, but direct account registration currently requires confirmation that the user is 18 or older. The platform should not be used to submit unnecessary identity, banking or highly sensitive information. A parent or guardian should be involved where legally required.
Your choices and rights
Account holders can update profile and marketing preferences, download a copy of their stored information and request account deletion through the account area. Other access, correction, objection or deletion requests can be submitted through the contact page. Some information may be retained where law or a legitimate dispute requires it.
Cookies and sessions
Essential session cookies keep users signed in and protect account activity. Additional analytics or advertising cookies should not be enabled without an appropriate notice and consent mechanism where required.
Contact
Privacy requests can be submitted through the contact page or sent to hello@studyvest.site. Include enough information to identify the relevant account or submission, but do not send passwords, one-time PINs or full card details.
Privacy review: This policy should be reviewed with South African POPIA requirements, the final business entity and the exact third-party services used at launch.

The public site does not ask users to submit financial account passwords, one-time PINs, identity numbers or investment account credentials. Never send this information through a StudyVest form.
